Dr Vagy’s climbing warm-up.

A great guide, and my “go-to”, for warming up for climbing. Uses dynamic, climbing specific, warm-up movements. Dynamic stretching has been shown for decades to be the better way to warm-up for pretty much any activity and yet is still surprisingly under-utilized in many activities.

Training Beta podcasts.

This is one of the better podcasts out there when it comes to climbing performance and comes from the Training Beta website. A good mix of podcasts with climbing trainers and professional climbers so you should find something that appeals to you.

Fingerboard training.

This is a very good starting point/regular routine for fingerboard training. It’s from Steve Maisch and it’s pretty much what I follow and prescribe to for fingerboard training. It makes logical sense and, indirectly, has scientific support as being the way we should training finger strength. Climbing is, after all, a strength/power based sport.
